Well mostly what i do is post pictures on instagram or retweet funny tweets. I'm not really that into social media but yeah I'm on it. I think our generation strives to get the most likes on everything they do when really I kind of think it isn't a big deal because really it's just a person clicking a button. I myself try to work towards real world goals, it doesn't bother me how many likes I get on social media because no matter what I have my friends, my family, and my goals and that is all I need.
I think we use the Internet a lot which is why I think it is funny that parents and schools put a taboo on phones and computers. We use Internet and computers for projects, research, games, advertisement, social accomplishment, and many more things. The reason why I think that it is so popular is because people want the chance to escape reality and to take a break from the real world. It has its pros and cons but overall the Internet is a good thing because it gives us a bunch of sources to find out what our mind craves.
I agreed with the documentary on the advertisements because once somebody gets famous everybody is pushing for them to wear their clothes or be in a commercial. It is all just a marketing ploy because they know people are going to be watching these videos. I also think they were right when they said people can get famous fast because kids that made YouTube videos in their basements 2 years ago can all of the sudden turn into billionaires, sometimes it doesn't make sense.
I disagreed with the documentary on the whole like thing because not everybody just goes on likes honestly I think comments are way more meaningful than likes because people can like your photo or post just because, where a comment takes time and thought not just clicking a button.
