I achieved my goal of making cupcakes and making them look pretty close the the pictures on instagram.
Everyone that has had one thinks that they are pretty good so far, but I will leave that to you to decide.

I followed a long tedious recipe. It took a couple of hours which wasn't that bad and it was fun.

I learned that baking is a little harder than it seems and that we shouldn't take a lot of these foods for granted. I kind of enjoyed it and would do it again sometime.

Pre Final

1.The goal of this project is to figure out if I can bake well. These cupcakes look delicious and I want to challenge myself to make them. Another goal of this project is to see if as many people on Instagram like cupcakes as Pinterest.
2.I will pin 10 pictures of Kit Kat cupcakes on a board and then post my final product on Instagram to see how many likes I can get. I do not know if my final product will look very appetizing but I will try to make it as appealing as I can.
3. I already know that I want to have a chocolate cupcake with a bit of a Kit Kat in the middle, then I want to either have chocolate frosting or peanut butter frosting on top, and then I want to have Kit Kat crumbles on top of the frosting and in it. I'm going to give scratch a run for their money.
The Journal of Suffering:
Monday: Twitter:3 Just went on it and look at the tweets at the top of my feed.
Tuesday: Twitter:3 Same as above.
Wednesday: Twitter:5 Looked at memes. Instagram:3  posted a picture and got 54 likes, felt pretty good since I only have 137 followers. Snapchat:1 A silly picture from a friend.
Thursday: Twitter:2 Just opened the app on accident. Instagram:3 checking up on my likes.
Friday: Twitter:1 Retweeted some tweets by athlete accounts.
Saturday: Instagram:3 My girlfriend told me to look at things so of course you have to obey. Twitter:1 Retweeting funny quotes.
Sunday: Nothing, too busy.
Monday: None.
This wasn't really that much of a struggle for me because I'm not on social media that much, just when I have extra time or need to talk to someone that I don't have their number.

Cinco de Mayo

1. The summary of this article is that police are starting to use social media to help fight crime and solve cases. Not only have they already been using Facebook and twitter but they are starting to use Pinterest and YouTube as well.
2. This article stuck out to me because usually when you hear about social media it has nothing to do with good things and the law it is usually always bullying or someone scamming people for money.
3. I think this shows that social media can be helpful to police to help find out where people are or find out where items are that someone has stolen.

1.This is actually a video that talks about how social media is ruining our lives and how social we really are.
2. This article stuck out to me because there aren't a lot of young people that think social media is bad for you, we are usually the ones that are using it all the time.
3. This says that social media is bad and is ruining our lives. I don't really agree with this article. It isn't a bad thing if you are on it every once in awhile. It is a good way to connect with people and learn new things. The only time when it's bad is if it isn't being used for the right reasons or if it is used too much. I don't know how some people can be on it for hours. I like to get out and see the world.
http://www.mediapost.com/publications/article/225140/wall-street-skeptical-about-social-media-stocks.html
1. This article is about investors and their investments in social sites. They were talking about Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. They said Facebook is more stable business wise and that a lot of people are hesitating to invest in twitter because it lacks growth.
2. This article stuck out to me because not a lot of people talk about social media in the stock market. So many people just take it for granted and forget to remember that these are actual business with corporations and investors, not just a fun site that they like.
3. This proves that social media sites don't just pop up on their own. They need programmers, fresh ideas, money, advertising, and investors to get started. Just to start it. The social media business is tough because you have to compete with up and coming things, so companies need to be on your toes.

Trick

Twitter is social media because it is used by almost everyone for connecting with friends, customers, and celebrities. Twitter in itself is almost like its own world.
I chose the list feature because I didn't even know about it but it's really cool. It is used to recommend accounts for people to follow, so if someone wants some insight they can go look at your lists and see the different subjects of lists that you have, open one of them, and see which people they want to follow.

App Crap

The major social media apps I use are Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. I don't really check these apps that often maybe once or twice a day. I use each app to see what's happening in the world or with my friends. I don't really use social media for news or advice it's usually just looking at stupid or funny pictures and getting a good laugh. I occasionally make a tweet or post a picture.
